Background

The COVID-19 pandemic places new demands on our need to innovate. One demand is the need for face masks. Some countries recommend that their citizens wear face masks in public. More countries could follow. The global supply of face masks is not meeting current demand. Health care workers need PPE to protect themselves and their patients. The general public will need to wear face masks – especially when social distancing is difficult.
